Thessaloniki is the town where "O Thessalonikios" was born and obviously the starting point of all my travels. The truth is, I'm not completely objective when referring to my city, as my love for it is boundless, which makes me not imagine myself staying away from it (at least not for long).

A little bit of its aggravated past, a little bit that I was negatively challenged and a little bit that I had other countries as a priority, contributed to the fact that I had never visited Germany.
As a child, I slept and woke up to the tales of Hans Christian Andersen, so that the images of the heroes and the beautiful landscapes he narrated remained etched in my subconscious.

Paris is at the top of the preferences in Europe, while it is first in most travel categories. Something similar happens to me, since Paris always "figured" at the top of my list, while it was also the first trip without my family.

If I say it was a lifelong dream to visit Dresden sometime, I'd be lying. To be perfectly honest I did not even know its existence, but sometimes beauty does not hide in the famous and well-publicized, but in the unknown and the unexpected, where the expectations are lower and the images more virgin.

This particular spot is the most beautiful place I have ever seen with my own eyes, and its natural beauty is not easily described in words. It's like you've sprung up in a fairytale-like you're a protagonist in "the Lord of the Rings," or you've died and been taken to Heaven. You cross hundreds of miles and you don't even see a human. The only thing that reminds you of the human presence is some settlements, which on the map are presented as villages, but they do not even have shops. A journey that is different from the others.
