 Bridges are one of the most impressive man-made structures. Wonders of engineering and architecture, which take advantage of the technology of each era to provide solutions to the movement of people and goods. China may be considered an "expert" of the genre, with five representatives on the list, but there are five other bridges around the world waiting to be explored!

10) Sheikh Jaber Al - Ahmad Al-Sabah Causeway (Kuwait City, Kuwait)

 The project of Sheikh Jaber Al-Sabah, the late Sheikh-leader of Kuwait, is a complex of bridges, with an estimated construction value of about $ 3 billion! It stretches in the Gulf of Kuwait in two directions and includes two projects: the main line, which connects the city of Kuwait with the future city of Silk, and the Doha project, which apparently connects the town of Kuwait with Doha. The center line is the tenth largest bridge in the world, measuring 36,140 meters in length, while both together have a total length of 48.5 kilometers!

9) Manchac Swamp Bridge (Louisiana,U.S.A.)

 The Manchac Bridge is a double concrete bridge in the state of Louisiana, with a total length of 36,710 meters. It is among the longest bridges in the world over water and many claime to be the longest toll-free road in the world. It has been in operation since 1979 and crosses the Louisiana swamp, joining junction 55 and Route 51, while still making up one-third, of the same state's approximately 66 miles of highway.

8) Lake Pontchartrain Causeway (Louisiana, USA)

 The second bridge on the list from the USA, also from Louisiana, is the one that crosses Lake Pontchartrain. This arch has been operating since 1969, when it was entered in the Guinness Book of Records, as the largest bridge over the water in the world (38,442 meters). This record was broken 42 years later, in 2011, by the Chinese Jiaozhou Bay Bridge.

7) Beijing Grand Bridge (Beijing, China)

 In seventh place we meet the first Chinese Bridge on the list, the Great Beijing Bridge. It is located on the high-speed highway between Beijing-Shanghai and has a length of 48,153 kilometers. Construction of the bridge was completed in 2010, officially opening a year later.

6) Bang Na Expressway (Bang Na, Thailand)

 Bang Na Bridge is located in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. This is a wonderful and innovative bridge complex, whose length reaches 54 kilometers and its width is 27.2 meters! Construction of the main road began in 1995 and lasted five years, with the bridge officially opening in February 2000. The project cost more than $ 1 billion and is said to have required 1,800,000 cubic meters of concrete to construct the bridge. However, this arch solved a huge problem of traffic congestion, which plagued the city for years, while also attracting many tourists who want to see it up close.

5) Weinan Weihe Grand Bridge (Chenchow, China)

 The bridge, which overlooks the Wei River in China, is one of the most impressive architectural landmarks in the world. This railway bridge connects the cities of Xi'an and Zhengzhou and has a length of 79,732 kilometers! It crosses the Wei River, for which it was named, twice. Although its construction had already been completed in 2008, it was not put into operation until 2010, when the new railway line was launched. When it was built, it was the longest bridge in the world, but then "gave its scepter" to those who follow.

4) Cangde Grand Bridge (Changde, China)

 And from this bridge and then we exceed 100 kilometers in length. China's Changde Bridge is part of the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and is 115,900 kilometers long. It is designed to withstand major earthquakes, so it has 3092 towers, which provide it with the structural stability it needs to remain intact despite tectonic shifts and destructive forces. And this bridge crosses the Wei River, as well as many other smaller rivers.

3) Tianjin Grand Bridge (Tientsin, China)

 The Tianjin Bridge is also part of the Beijing-Shanghai High-Speed Railway and crosses Langfang and Qingxian. It was completed in 2010, unraveling a year later, with a total length of 113,700 kilometers! The bridge is of unprecedented importance and excellent location, as it allows trains to pass through areas of high density and helps them travel much faster and safer.

2) Changhua-Kaohsiung Viaduct (Baywasan, Taiwan)

 In second place we meet a viaduct from Taiwan. It is the bridge that connects Changua with Kaohsiung, crossing the mainland and the province of southern Taiwan. It was put into operation in 2007, and it is estimated that by 2012 it served more than 200 million passengers! It has a length of 157,317 kilometers and is made with Japanese know-how, so that it is resistant to earthquakes.

1) Danyang-Kunshan Grand Bridge (Jiangsu, China)

 At the top of this list is another bridge from China and more specifically from Jiangsu, the Great Tanyang-Kunsan Bridge. It is safe to say that this bridge is a miracle of modern engineering, having a length of 164,800 kilometers! It was completed in just 4 years (2006-2010), costing over $ 8.5 billion and it is estimated that over 10,000 people were used during its construction. Since its operation, the Great Tanyang-Kunsan Bridge has become a tourist attraction itself!
